Grandma’s Hands Pregnancy and Postpartum Herbs & Nutrition in the Southern Tradition is a 6 week ethnobotany course based in the folk, historical healing traditions of the South, particular Black Southern Midwives.

Lesson 1 Historical Role of the Black Midwife in Healing her community
Lesson 2 Pregnancy and Childbirth Herbs and Usage
Lesson 3 Postpartum and Breastfeeding Herbs
Lesson 4 Importance of Salves, Tinctures, and Tonics
Lesson 5 Pregnancy and Postpartum Soul Food for Healing
Lesson 6 Doing an herbal assessment
1 Hour Weekly live class webinar on Thursday nights 8pm EST. It is recorded and the recording link is sent out within 24 hours after the live webinar. There is a Private Facebook group for students. Only students who complete both the course project and quiz will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the 6 weeks.
